Between the years 1991 - 2004 the number of
X-rayed Valls is 343 and the number of
dogs with "serious" HD - grading (HD D or E ) is
only 14. So the number is quite small. But
if we count in the dogs with Grade C
the number rises to 79 dogs thus making the
percentage of dogs with "not considered
healthy" hips 23%.
However: a Vall with C hips is still
considered having "normal" hips and is allowed to
be used for breeding.
